Our company has grown so much that we now must require people to wear IDs. We need to decide on the format for the ID. Two formats have been proposed. For each of the format options, assume that order matters. The characters include 26 upper case letters, 10 digits, and four special characters (!,@,#,&).

Count the number of unique passwords generated by each of the following password formats and select the method scheme that produces the most unique passwords.

a. A password consists of 5 characters. No repetition is allowed

b. A password consists of 5 characters. The first can be any character. The second can be any character except an A, 7 or @ . The next 3 characters can be a digit or special character. Repetition is allowed.
