The reaction for iron oxidation with potassium permanganate follows the example in class, except it is potassium permanganate (KMnO4) instead of sodium permanganate (NaMnO.). (Potassium will be in place of sodium in the reactions) The partially balanced reaction for manganese oxidation is as follows: 3Mn+2 + KMnO + 2H20 MnO2 + H+ + K+ Balance the above reaction (stoichiometric coefficients already given won't change) and determine the amount of potassium permanganate (mg/L) needed to oxide 1 mg/L of manganese. Also, determine the amount of potassium permanganate (mg/L) needed to oxide 1 mg/L of iron? (15)
