36. This fall, I plan on spending a few days during Winter break with an old college friend. His name is Ed Williams, or as my wife calls him, crazy Eddie. My wife is imagining what could happen to me, if I stayed with Ed. It is Saturday, December 13, 2018, and I fly into Spokane International Airport, rent a car and head over to Ed 's house. When I get there, he greets me and tells me that he has an exciting day planned. Ed has scheduled us to go skydiving at Sandpoint, Idaho. We had gone skydiving when I was in graduate school, and he wanted to relive the excitement. I told him I was a little smarter now, than when we were in college, and I didn't want to go skydiving. He tried to convince me, and even told me that if I didn't go, he would hit me in the nose, but [held rm. He then said that instead of skydiving, we could do a few things around the ranch. Ed told me that his pump in the pump house was not working right. We headed toward the pump house, he opened the door and went in. I stood in the doorway watching him work on the pump. He said he needed a screw driver from his toolbox, so he passed me and I thought he was heading for his garage. The next thing Iknow, he pushed me from behind and I fell on the floor of the pump house. As I started to get up, the door close. I tried the door, but it was locked. There were no windOws, and no other door in the pump house, so I could not get out. I could hear crazy Eddie saying that the only way he would let me out was if I agreed to go skydiving. He also told me that I would not want to stay in the pump house very lang, because his pet raccoon was asleep in the corner. I was in the pump house for about an hour when I heard my car start up. I had left the key in the ignition. I could hear Ed yelling that he was going to head to Spangle and get some \"pop\". His yelling or maybe it was the noise from the car, woke up the raccoon. It was scared being locked in the pump house, and of course, it bit me. The lighting was very poor and I was trying to get away from the raccoon, I tripped over a wrench that Ed had left on the floor. I landed on my arm and broke it. As I am getting up, I smelled smoke, well you guessed it, the light Ed had in the pump house was defective, and started the pump house on fire. Both the raccoon and I die.
