Find out the miller indices of same set of parallel planes with respect to the primitive basis vectors shown by a1, a2, az in the same figure. Do the same for FCC unit cell. The conventional basis vectors are the mutually perpendicular edges of the cube and primitive basis vectors are obtained by joining one of the corner to nearest face centered point as shown in following figure. 4.
