In a typical year 4000 hours are available on assembly line 1 and 4200 hours are available on assembly line 2 . The following table shows the production requirements for the next year. To produce a unit of output (EM1, EM2, and EM3) the car body must sent for processing to assembly I and then to assembly line 2 , to make the final finished car. Assembly line 1 requires 4 labor hours of work on a car per assembly line hour, and assembly line 2 requires 3 labor hours of work on a car per assembly line hour of work. The total available labor hours for the year 12000 .
