5. Consider a firm that delivers pizza. Assume that the amount of time that it takes to deliver a pizza to a customer's home is normally distributed, with : Mean = 29 minutes Standard Deviation = 10 minutes To establish a reputation for fast delivery, the firm will give the pizza for free to any customers to whom delivery takes more than x minutes ( e.g., they might say "if the pizza isn't there in 25 minutes, it's free!"; then x would be = 25). To stay within a budget , the restaurant wants to give away pizzas on no more than 4 % of deliveries ( which means that at least 96% of the time they will NOT give pizza away). Solve for x ( the number of minutes they should choose : this is equivalent to finding the 96th Percentile of this distribution); you'll have to round up: e.g., if you found that they should choose 26.5 minutes, then round that up to 27; show your work).
