5 Timeline Creation I Event Organization Assignment Organization is a key component to the event planning process. To stay organized and on task planners often use timelines, both |ong~term and short-term. For this assignment you will be creating both a long~term timeline for your event and a short-term timeline for your event. Both timelines will need to be included in your nal proposal to the client at the end of the semester. Details for each of the two timelines are listed below. Long-term: this timeli'ne should be for 3 months out from the date of the event, or longer and will focus on the tasks that you will be working on for the perspective client. This timeline will act as a tool for the client to ensure you are on task and for you as the event planner to ensure communication is sound with the client. An example might be that be date you will have a selection of caterers for them to review. Short-term (aka Day ofTimeline): this timeline will focus on the day of the event and include all the details as to when the vendors will be arriving. setting up, when guest arrive, etc. Details are crucial here.
