5S is an apparent "simple" foundations of lean, which means it is often overlooked. The goal here is to review 5S and make the connection to wastes. For example, if things are not placed back in a defined location, then waste of motion comes into play for the next shift/crew member looking for that item. Look into your daily lives (work, school, or at home) and speak to how 5S would help increase your efficiencies and reduce waste.
