Max Carson, head of facilities at Lilo Co, will make the final decision as to who gets the contract. Max's daughter, Angela, wants to work in catering. Tula promises Angela that if Delicia get the contract, Angela will be given a job at Delicia. Max awards the contract to Delicia.

Applying the UK Bribery Act 2010, explain whether the following statements are true or false, giving reasons.

(a) Tula cannot be convicted of bribery because it was Angela who received the benefit and not Max.

(b) Because Angela thinks Max has done nothing wrong, Angela cannot be charged with an offence under the Act.
