On 10 June, Lea and Avis submitted a written request to D Ltd for a statement ofreasons for the refusal and demanded such a statement be furnished within a month, but the company never responded to their request for reasons. Lea suspected that the board turned all their requests down because Lea had criticized the board's strategy in the past annual general meetings.
