Question 1 For the building described above use the attached excel file to tabulate your data and results. a) Make a rough estimate for the cooling load of the building b) Would the cooling of the residential units differ from those of the office? If so how? Justify your answer. c) Knowing that the client has chosen to use water cooled chillers for the residential units and offices, which will be housed on the roof. Using the specification sheets for the vendors in the link below, select the appropriate chiller type, its cooling capacity and accordingly the number of such a chiller, as well as the type and number of cooling towers. d) For the commercial space make a rough estimate for the expected number of AHU's, cooling capacity of each AHU, and dimension of each AHU e) The client has asked you to research the use of a VRF system for the residential units and prepare a report that can aid him in making a decision on whether to use the VRF system or not.
