A 500kg wonderful machine is filled with 200 000 000J of fuel. The machine has an efficiency of 2%.

At 10:00AM it begins to experience a motion of 10 metres - its engine consumes 1% of the entire fuel to make that motion.

The Wonderful Machine hovers and does not experience any force of friction with the ground - BUT it does experience a drag force of 15N (it is extremely aerodynamic).

At the 10m mark, the wonderful machine collided with a 15kg object that was at rest - applying its associated force equally for .1 of a second (potentially expending more fuel to do so) - and then came to an immediate stop (allowing the object to continue on its path).

The coefficient of friction with the object and the surface is 3.

If the object continues along this path until it comes to a stop, then how long (in seconds) did it take to come to a stop ("after" the .1 second of applied force)?

Did the object apply a force to the wonderful machine? If so, how much? If not, why not?
