A biomass gasifier is designed to produce syngas with a composition ( volume % ) of 3 5 % carbon monoxide ( CO ) ,

A biomass gasifier is designed to produce syngas with a composition (volume %) of 35%
carbon monoxide (CO),30% hydrogen (H2),30% Carbon dioxide (CO2), and the rest as
methane (CH4). If 1200 kg of dry biomass is fed into the gasifier and the gasification
efficiency is 75%, calculate the mass of each component in the syngas. Also find mass
composition of gas.
Notes:
1.1 kg dry biomass produces ~=2.5 Nm3
of syngas
2. Nm3
refers to volume of gas at 0 and 101.325 kPa
3. Use ideal gas law if needed, P =1.5 bar, T =300
