The soil at location A is quite elastic where the soil subgrade modulus is given as (2000+N) kN/m while the soil at location B is stiff. Take N = last 2 digits of your matric number (example GS12345, N = 45; GS12300, N = 00). The deck should be made of steel with a moment of inertia of 360 x 10 mm. Idealise the 2-span bridge deck by assuming the appropriate support conditions. Using stiffness matrix method, analyse the 2-span bridge deck under well-distributed load of 50 kN/m.
