From the depth of the hole they deduce that the bullet must have hit the wall with a speed of 150 m/s. The wall is 9 m behind the window. If you are furthermore given that the bullet traveled from the window to the wall in 0.06 5, you should be able to calculate D and H (that is, you should be able to find out from what location the bullet was fired)
