A) Capital Structure is what % of a company is funded by equity (stock)
and what % by debt (bonds). Please look up a companys balance
sheet (any except Apple, Amazon, Tesla) and find their amount of
debt and amount of shareholders equity. You can find it on Yahoo
Finance, or other sites.
B) Make up an example of Weighted Average Cost of Capital (for
example if a company is 1/3 debt at 6% and 2/3 equity at 9%, its
WACC is 8%)
For our last class we are focusing on international companies
C)Pick an international company, that is headquartered outside the US,
and describe them and where they operate.
D)Pick a foreign currency and tell me how it has done compared to the
US dollar recently. Also describe Currency Exchange Risk.
E) Foreign companies, listed in the New York Stock Exchange, are called
ADRs. Pick one and tell me about it. Lastly, would you invest in it ?
