A case-control study was conducted to examine average daily coffee consumption and the risk of stomach cancer. A total of 100 participants with stomach cancer and 100 participants without any cancer were recruited for the study. 37 had stomach cancer and drank coffee, and 63 did not drink coffee. There were 40 controls who drank coffee and did not have stomach cancer, and there were 60 who did not drink coffee and did not have stomach cancer.
