A Chief Operating Officer (COO) has many different duties, overseeing the organization's procedures, and daily operations, keeping the organization under control, and seeing the long and short-term goals of the organization. (Pavlou, 2022) "Healthcare is recognized today as a complex business that requires leaders who can navigate the complexity." (Harrison, 2021) Some examples of questions I would ask during the interview would be: How would your previous leaders and colleagues describe you in your last job? How would you monitor your staff and collaborate with others? What is your decision-making style? Where do you see yourself in the next 5 to 10 years? What do you feel you could bring to the organization? What is something you might change or improve? What is the biggest challenge you have ever faced and how did you handle the situation? How do you deal with conflict with employees? As someone with experience in interviewing and hiring individuals, I look for honesty and demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm in their answers.
