A clothing business finds there is a linear relationship between the number of shirts,n, it can sell and the price,p , it can charge per shirt. In particular, historical data shows that1,000 shirts can be sold at a price of$30, while3,000 shirts can be sold at a price of$5. Find a linear equation in the formp(n)=mn+bthat gives the pricepthey can charge fornshirts.
I did (p1-p2)/(n1-n2) and got -0.0125
then i plugged it in as
p-30 = -0.0125(n-1000)
and my final product was
p(n) = -0.0125n+42.5
and its still coming up as wrong
can you assist me please?
