A commonality design can minimise the manufacturing and servicing cost of the system. Each of the human comfort areas will be equipped with an AHU system. The AHU will use cold water to absorb the heat of the fresh air. Assuming the fresh air enters at atmospheric pressure, propose a design for a 5 kW AHU unit by the following: i. Discuss the conceptual design of the AHU with a schematic diagram [CO 1] ii. Analyse the heat exchanging process between the cold water and fresh air in the cooling tube. [CO 2] Develop the mathematical solutions for the heat exchanging process for the heat exchanger's physical sizing and effectiveness using the NTU and/or LMTD method. [CO 3]
