Design for Experiments: The strain gage shown at right is designed for measuring shear stress and torque in a rotating shaft. Since the gage needs to be mounted to the rotating shaft whereas the accompanying electronic instruments very possibly will be placed on stationary lab benches, maintaining constant electrical contact between the rotating and stationary parts of the measurement may pose an issue. Propose a solution/solution(s) to overcome the difficulty.
