A District Council Treasury has been reported by the Presidents office that the funds are being misappropriated. The provincial office of the Auditor General has been given a directive by the President to audit the reported council. In the letter to the Auditor General, the matters raised are lack of proper banking, vehicles are not controlled by logbooks, receipts for collections from the council shops and other industries are not accounted for by the treasury office.
