A factory forms magnets by melting different metals into sand molds. Sand at 54.8lb/hr enter the furnace. At the other side of the plant, a stream of iron ( Fe) and the balance non-iron mixture (NIM) of metals (Al, Ni, Co, Cu, Ti) enter a melting pot. Here, sulfur (S) is added to the metal mixture in the melting pot to aid in the forming process of the magnet. A molten slurry now exits the melting pot and enters the furnace where the molds are filled. After cooking, the filled molds are brought to the busting and cleaning room. Sand from the molds and some sulfur are sent out as a waste stream with a composition of 7.53% sulfur with the balance sand. Magnets are sent out as the product stream. The magnets are produced with a composition 35.1%NIM,62.3%Fe, and the balance S at 316b/hr. Calculate the following unknowns.
