At the end of 100 days continuously pumping, the water level in her abstraction bore is 50 m below ground surface. To preventing the pump from running without water and being damaged she has set a low-level cut-out on the pump at 65 m below ground, 5 m above the top of the pump. She now wishes to double the irrigated area by installing a second abstraction bore at a location 1000 m to the south of the first bore on the other side of her property. Assume that the aquifer properties remain the same over the property and that the aquifer is horizontal.
