The fluid passes through the tank outlet, through the tube, out of the nozzle and discharges to the atmosphere. The tank outlet and nozzle have resistances: there is no leakage around the piston. The fire extinguisher fluid is replenished by a hose (not shown) with a volumetric flow rate Q. Assume that the fluid has capacitance in the tank and inertance only in the tube. The tank is considered to be rigid and the fluid is incompressible.
