A host uses TCP to send a file of size $100$ kbytes.

All segments during this transmission have size $1000$ bytes $($not including the TCP and

IP headers$).$ It would take $100$ segments to send the entire file if there were no losses.

Due to congestion, the $2$nd$,50$th and $98$th segments sent by the sender are lost. No

other packets are lost. Note that due to retransmission, for example, the $50$th segment

is not the $50$th segment of the file.

Plot the congestion window $($CWND$)$ as a function of time for TCP Tahoe.

Indicate

$$ the size of CWND when the segment loss occurs,

$$ the size of SSThresh.

Label the following regions:

$$ slow start,

$$ AIMD,

$$ Fast Retransmit regions,

and finally, the Retransmission timeouts when appropriate. Measure CWND in segments.
