Acetone is to be recovered from a gas stream using a multi-unit process consisting of an absorber followed by a distillation column. The absorber has two input streams (a gas feed and a liquid feed) and two output streams (a gas exit and a liquid exit). The following data are available for the absorber: - The gas feed stream to the absorber has a flow rate of 1000kmol/h and consists of 2mole % acetone, with the remainder a non-condensable (NC) gas having a molecular weight of 29.2. - The liquid feed stream to the absorber is pure water. - The gas exit stream from the absorber consists of 0.1 mole % acetone and 1 mole % water, with the remainder NC gas. - The liquid exit stream from the absorber consists of 95 mass \% water, with the reminder acetone. The gas exit stream from the absorber is discarded. The liquid exit stream from the absorber 95 mass % water and 5 mass % acetone) is sent as feed to the distillation column. The overhead product stream exiting the distillation column is rich in acetone ( 98 mass \%), while the bottom product stream exiting the distillation column is lean in acetone ( 3 mass \%). (a) [20 marks ] Determine the percentage of acetone in the gas feed stream to the absorber which is recovered in the overhead product stream exiting the distillation column
