A key objective of this course is to discuss and appreciate transportation systems as a catalyst for economic growth and to identify strategies required to improve national transportation systems. As a first step in achieving this objective, it is important to have a good understanding of the different modes of transportation, their characteristics and limitations especially in a less developed economy like Ghana.

In the context of the objective stated above, you are required to address the following questions and use local examples to demonstrate your understanding and appreciation of transportation systems in Ghana.
