A leading explanation for procrastination is hyperbolic discounting (i.e., declining rates of discount), also known as present-bias. Comment on other potential explanations for procrastination (at least three) and explain how they differ from hyperbolic discounting. Additionally, propose an alternative explanation that we did not cover in class (preferably an original idea) and explain some of its implications.
