A liquid with a density of 820kg/m3& a viscosity of 2.0cP is to be pumped at a rate of 5 L/s ) from a feed tank open to the atmosphere (@1 bar) to a pressurized reactor at 2 bar. The liquid leve. in the reactor is 8m ) above the level in the feed tank. The piping has an inside diameter of 2.47 inches (6.271cm); has a total length of 200m; and contains 2 fully open gate valves, 2 fully open globe valves and ten 90 elbows. Calculate the fluid velocity and the Reynolds number in the pipe. Also, calculate th amount of energy (Joules /kg ) that must be delivered to the liquid by the pump, and the Horsepower pump you would recommend for this flowrate if the pump efficiency were 60%
