A manager is playing favorites with his employees who most of them are his friends that he has worked with over the last 20 plus years. He has singled out an employee who he considers expendable and has been trying to get out so he can bring in more of his friends to the department. He does things like 1) not assigning tasks to the employee 2) takes tasks away and gives to his friend 3) assigns menial work that are part of his friend's project, and 4) micro manage and started demanding that things be done the way his friend does things so nothing works correctly any more.
