A mid-sized manufacturing firm in New York State has excess liability associated with employment practices. There have been a number of lawsuits against management in the past. Most if not all have settled for an amount no greater than $40,000 per claim including legal costs. Last year alone there were 3 settlements totaling $80,000. Recently however their commercial carrier raised employment practice premiums to $1,000,000 annually.
