Today Mr. Briggs calls to discuss with you his housing mortgage loan matter under

your banks mortgage loan scheme for private house ownership. For the discussion he

had produced a contractors estimate of the cost of a private house he plans to build.

The cost of the house was estimated at GH30million. He says he has been allocated a

plot of land at Tema and he has been given all the necessary documents. He is applying

for a mortgage loan of GH20million repayable within a period of 10 years. He has in

his house ownership savings account a total of GH16million, more than the minimum

savings required of beneficiaries under the scheme.

prior to going abroad, had given him a crossed cheque for GH20,000 in payment for

pictures. The cheque has been lost and Mr. Bobo asks if your branch will stop payment

of the cheque if it is presented. He leaves his telephone number in case of need. The

cheque is discovered in the days clearing. It is properly drawn in favor of Mr. Kwame

Bobo and is endorsed Kwame Bobo on the back.
