A multi-unit process is being overseen by engineers Oscar and Mary. A fresh feed consisting of propar ( P,C3H7OH) and oxygen (O2) is mixed with a recycle stream consisting of the same two components. The resulting mixture enters the continuous, steady-state reactor as a single stream. The total inlet flo rate to the reactor is 275mol/min with a propanol mole fraction of 0.158 and the balance oxygen. Botl complete and partial combustion reactions occur, and the reactor effluent contains propanol, oxygen, water (W,H2O), carbon monoxide (CO), and carbon dioxide (CO2). The single pass conversion of propanol was measured to be 66.3%, and the flow rate of CO2 exiting the reactor is 8.05 times larger than the CO flow rate in the same stream. The reactor effluent then passes through a separator that removes all of the CO2CO2, and water into one stream and all of the propanol and oxygen into another stream. 12.3% of the propanol/oxygen stream is purged from the process while the rest is recycled. Determine three of the component flow rates leaving the reactor. A multi-unit process is being overseen by engineers Oscar and Mary.
