A new company in Amman - Smart Systems (SS) is trying to invest in the field of IoT. Their main interest at this stage is in the following two main fields:

• Smart homes, smart buildings and smart cities etc and their impact on individuals and society.
• The future of IoT e.g. automate manufacturing, medicine and healthcare, virtual world, AI, machine learning etc.

You applied for one of SS job opportunities which is main researcher. SS wants to be sure that you meet the requirements so they asked you to conduct the following tasks:

Task 1:

They supplied you with a data collected by Cannizzaro et al.[1] that is related to trust in smart homes. They wanted you to carry out the research on this data and then examine the research findings after employing some analytical tool (Select and discuss only two of the factors). The final step is to report the findings of your research to SS.

Task 2:

The next step is to carry out a research on a data that you need to collect. SS asked you to construct a research proposal that defines a research question or hypothesis related to their fields of interest and clearly identifies the objective(s). Part of the research proposal is to define the methodology to be used so you need to do the following:

1. Explore appropriate research method approaches.
2. Assess several research approaches and defend your choice taking into account the philosophical position.

Once you finished the research proposal you need to collect the data, examine the research findings after employing some analytical tool and report the findings of your research to SS.

When reporting the findings, show how they meet the objectives specified in the proposal and state correct justified recommendation based on analysis.

SS wants to be sure that you are doing the job correctly so they requested the following:

1. Consider the goodness and issues of data collection and analysis approaches.
2. Critically assess the application of research methodologies and processes in a computing research project to support the selection of the methodology in your research.

Task 3

Finally, to complete the tasks, you need to review the effectiveness of applying the research methods on the meeting of research objectives. You can reflect on the lessons drawn and the using of other research methodologies. In addition, recommend future improvements and research consideration based on the examination of the results and then show how you recommend these actions based on your personal reflection.
