A new computer-based homework program claims that students who use the program will see an increase in their overall course grade. If a student chooses to participate in the program, they must work in the program for at least 50 hours during the semester. A study was conducted to compare the overall course grades of the students who used the computer-based program and those who did not. The results follow. The 95% confidence interval of the mean overall course grade for students who spent at least 50 hours working in the computer-based homework program was (87.7, 89.9). The 95% confidence interval of the mean overall course grade for students who did not use the computer-based homework program was (85.2, 87.4)
