A new titrimetric method has been developed for the determination of bisulfite (HSO3-) in some wine samples. The bisulfite content was found to be an average of 1.88 ppm with a standard deviation of 0.04 ppm, based on five repeated analyses of a red wine sample that served as a reference standard with a specified bisulfite content of 2.0 ppm. Is the developed method accurate at the 95% confidence level? (t0.95 = 2.776).
