The store manager is a male who has many years of experience working for the company, and the first assistant manager is a female who also has many years of experience working for the company. Whenever the first assistant manager does a task or makes a suggestion for the company, the store manager always makes a criticizing comment in a humiliating tone. He questions a lot of her choices, he argues with her, and he has a lack of trust in her abilities. From the leader perspective, when the store manager is being hostile towards the assistant manager, it complicates the leader's ability to fully know themselves and they begin to question their potential. (Fine, 2017). From the stakeholder perspective, it is confusing when the store manager belittles the first assistant manager because of her gender, not because of how she works.
