A popular interview question employers ask is, "I see you were involved in a leadership role in school/work or in the community with this particular organization. Tell me about a project or event that you were in charge of when something major went wrong. I am interested in learning what you did to adapt."

While problem-solving skills and project-management skills are important to today's leaders, problem identification (i.e., What is it that I am confronted with? What went wrong?), adaptability, and dealing with ambiguity are even more sought-after skill sets. How would you respond to this interviewer's question?
