Calculate how many bird species will go extinct from the forest in the long run if out of 10000 ha of primary forest, 3000 ha is converted into an agricultural land; 2000 ha into a pasture; 500 ha into an urban area, and 1000 ha into a managed forest. Use the countryside species-area relationship (SAR) model assuming birds' affinity to agriculture, pasture, urban, and managed forest is 0.005, 0.002, 0.001, and 0.01 respectively (take z = 0.25). Now use the classic SAR model and compare the extinctions with those from the countryside SAR model.
