A race car team would like to assess the performance of its rear wheel drive vehicle though simulation on the track shown. The car and driver mass is 2000 Kg and the coefficient of kinetic friction is 0.98. The team wants to calculate the time it takes to complete one lap assuming maximum performance and a superhuman driver. The car starts from rest at point S1 and the maximum acceleration is reached instantaneously. On the curved track the driver will use 80 % of the available traction for turning and the rest for acceleration. Your task is to help with the simulation. You will assume that the car is a rigid 2D body on the straight segments and a particle on the curved segments. S1S2=170m, radius of turn S2S3=100m, arc of turn S2S3=180 degrees, S3S4=361.6m, radius of turn S4S5=60m, arc of turn S4S5=167 degrees, S5S1=168.8m.

Use Matlab to solve, the code must display time for each segment and display the total lap time at the end. Attach the code.
