A recently appointed trial judge, Justice Wagner, renders a decision involving an Aboriginal Title claim in favour of the Indigenous claimants who have set up an encampment on the front lawn of the Court. Prior to her appointment, Justice Wagner was a noted constitutional scholar and an experienced advocate before all levels of courts. After rendering her decision, on her way to her car, Justice Wagner stops at the encampment to speak to the claimants who present her with a traditional blanket. A video of this exchange appears on the national news, including Justice Wagner's thank you to the group for the blanket she takes with her to her car.
