A reheat regenerative turbo-generator unit receives steam at 14.5 MPa and 550oC. At 4.35 MPa, part of the steam is extracted for feedwater heating and the remainder is withdrawn for reheating. The reheated steam reenters the turbine and expands to 2.8 MPa, where more steam is extracted for feedwater heating and the remainder expands to the third extraction which is dry and saturated. Final expansion now occurs to condenser temperature at 60oC. Draw the T-S Diagram and schematic diagram. Indicate the steam conditions and other given and lastly, Calculate the ideal engine thermal efficiency, cycle efficiency and power output.
