A researcher examines favoritistic practices in family firms. Specifically, s/he aims to test the effect of favoritism on employee work engagement in family firms. In addition, employee demographic characteristics (i.e., gender, age, education, and organizational tenure) have been considered as control variables, because researcher is also interested in potential roles of demographic characteristics in the model. According to findings of this study, family firm's managers could aware of detrimental effects of favoritism practices on employee outcomes and significant differences among employees.
