A small country has decided to build an air traffic control system (ATC) for its one airport. The system is specified as follows: All aircrafts landing at the airport must have a transponder that transmits aircraft type and flight data in high density packet format to the ATC ground station. When the ATC ground station receives data, it is unpacked and stored in an aircraft database. A computer graphics display is created from the stored information and displayed for an air traffic controller. The display is updated every 10 seconds. All information is analyzed to determine if dangerous situations are presented. The air traffic controller can query the database for specific information about any plane displayed on the screen.
