In order to establish credence to her hypothesis that shoppers are right-turners, the psychologist discreetly positioned herself just inside the entrance of the store and recorded which direction the shoppers headed. During the first two hours of shopping on a busy Saturday morning, 180 out of 324 shoppers made a right hand turn upon entering the store.
