A study discovered that equity was rarely considered when COVID-19 policies around PPE were developed (Chhibber, et al., 2021). The authors argued that this limited inclusion further harmed the health outcomes of the population. If there had been more thought given to health equity, then relevant barriers to implementation of the policies might have been considered (Chhibber et al., 2021).
