A study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of a new medication for the treatment of migraine headaches. Patients who were previously diagnosed with migraines were randomly assigned to treatment and control groups. Of the 90 total participants in the study, 45 participants formed the treatment group and received an oral medication (a red capsule). They were asked to take 2 capsules during designated days/time at the clinic. The remaining 45 participants formed the control group.
