A very common problem in instrumentation is that of interference of the telemetry that is to be measured. One of the primary sources of the interference is the power line. This is particularly true for high impedance circuits. Another path for this noise is ground-loops. One possible solution is to use a notch filter to remove the 50HZ component. Design a suitable notch filter for this purpose.
