A voltage of 200 V at 50 Hz is applied to a resistance, R in series with an iron cored choke coil (R in series with L). (Fig. 1). The current drawn is 2 A, and the power loss in the resistance is 150 W
1) Calculate the resistance and the inductance.
2) Calculate the power factor for the circuit.
3) Deduce the phase angle of the circuit and draw the corresponding phasor diagram.
4) Calculate the reactive power and the apparent power corresponding to the circuit
Note: In the phasor diagram, the voltage is taken as reference
